The Free Day

*Day 4 - The free day*	Thursday 16th May The Activities 5 of us had elected to go to Granada for the day. Others planned to explore the villages, or to go bird-watching. In the evening, most chose to eat in an attractive Pizzeria behind the Church in Capileira. Next morning it appeared that 2 of our party had led the chef astray, keeping him talking (and drinking) until 4 am... The Granada group arrived back about 9 pm, and ate in El Asador. This proved to be a good choice, and we did ourselves well for about £15 per head, including wine and an excellent brandy. Personal Highlights "Sitting in the Salón de Ambajadores, in the Alhambra, reputedly the room in which Ferdinand and Isabella discussed the voyage to America with Cristopher Columbus." - John "Looking over the rooftops of Granada from one of the towers of the Alcazbar" - John "Eating lunch on a leafy balcony of the Granada Parador, with a view over the Generalife gardens - and for about £10 per head!" - John "Eating choto asado (roast goat) in El Asador grill in Capileira" - John [more to come]
