At the MOT station
Parked up at Luton Borough Council MOT station, awaiting its encounter with destiny.

Although DM1051 failed the MOT, I was pleased by how it behaved on the trip to Luton and back. There were no problems, and the engine performed well after a year's inactivity. At one point, when I paused in a layby, I was worried to see water leaking from the radiator area. The engine also seemed to be running hot (but I believe these rear-engined buses were well known for running very warm!). The next day, when all was cool again, I checked the water level and was relieved to find that it was almost full.
