1st. All the floorboards on the nearside
are now removed.
Unfortunately I very quickly see that the joists in this area are badly
affected by woodworm.
|
1st. The mystery of the empty roof area beside the cab is
explained. The missing heater is in the boot!

1st. The nearside is now clear of flooring. The next job will be
to remove the boards from the central corridor. They are sound but I need to
clean the chassis and spray the joists against woodworm.
|
| 2nd. The floor has now been cleared except for the central
corridor. It seems a pity to tear up perfectly sound wooden boards, but the
joists underneath definitely need checking, and there is no way I can remove
the boards without damaging them since the screws have long since rusted solid.

10th. Some of worm-eaten nearside joists removed, exposing back
axle for cleaning.
|
| 11th. Now I have levered the wheel-arch out, the chassis
can be examined.
|
|
 |
 |
|
13th. The wheel-arch on the offside has been persuaded to
come out. The large steel sheet separating the boot from the body was badly
rust-eaten and has also been removed.
