Suspect Bearer revealed

Clearly the angle-iron attached to the bulkhead is overdue for retirement. The floor section still attached is ash hardwood (which I will attempt to salvage) while the majority of the flooring is 3/4" floorboards.

Now for some chassis cleaning and painting...
