Boot corner adjusted |
||
|
Once I had replaced the old steel angle (supporting the floor) at the rear corner, I felt confident I could move the rear corner panel into its final position. A friend helped me to take various critical measurements so that I could attempt to ensure that the back corner was correctly aligned, since the sag at this point is significant. The distance between the interior walls is 89.5". The length of the rear bearer (centre of this photo is 92", therefore the sides needed to be 1.25" from the end of the bearer. When I had fitted the steel angle to the interior of this panel I could see that it was where the panel wanted to be! So I felt confident trimming the side panel and boot -front where they meet, so that they mate correctly. I will reinforce this area with an exterior piece of angle later. The pillar has not yet been fitted, since I want to check the window alignment. It will need to be trimmed in length. |
